Bobby and I love to travel and explore other worlds, different cultures, people who speak and think differently than us, and yet all the same feel deeply, and cherish so many of the same basic things as us, laughter, individuality, the satisfaction of bringing home food for the family, and compassion. One learns a great deal while traveling, not only about the one traveling with you, but also about the world and most importantly about oneself.
We in the United States are a fortunate bunch, but I think that we need to watch out and not forget about our neighbors, and the rest of this fragile planet, because in the end we're all one, interconnected and quickly affected by the other.
We need to stop the intolerant judging of others, and the imposing views we so vulnerably hold on to. Really, other cultures have so much to offer us.
