Mythology, symbols, beliefs... people live for them, die for them, are born into them. It all began in Egypt. That first King created his first God, ATUM, we are not certain whether ATUM created himself or was son of NU. Some say he appeared over a hill, and others say he was the hill himself. Then ATUM united with RA and became RA ATUM the sun god, to disperse light over darkness, good over evil.... and so the story goes. RA-ATUM placed his eye on his forehead so the eye could rule the world. His other two eyes represent the sun and the moon.
Others say that the first king, Narmer dedicated his first temple to the god Ptah, in his capital Memphis, and from then on more gods were created and all in some way or another involved in the legends that would help carry on the longest civilization in history. From 3110 BC to the Romans and Cleopatra.
