I was basically expelled from my acting program at LACC, for no reason other than that I wasn't going along with the director of the program. I remember one evening performance while I worked the spotlight for Loves Labours Lost, he came to me from behind and whispered in my ear, "Next year, you'll be down there on that stage." as he massaged my neck very innapropriately. I froze speechless. The next thing I knew, I was being told that I wasn't invited back to the third year because I didn't "fit in". It was a traumatic experience, to say the least, I cried for days, but fortunately I didn't completely fall apart, and instead began sending out this photo composite that, Bill Ortiz, my boyfriend at the time, shot of me. From a casting call announcement in Dramalogue, I booked my first sag role! And after 48 HRS came out, I heard that the same theatre faculty and director were mentioning my name as if I had been their favorite student.
